Portable Cold Application, Built for the Road

Monkey Ice makes aerosol-activated cold application gear that works without a fridge, an ice box, or a cold chain. The idea is simple: carry the same compact kit whether you are three hours into a day ride or three days into a remote route, and it works the same way each time.

ADV TRIBE brings Monkey Ice to riders who pack light and move often: touring, day rides, moto-camping and travel, where finding a freezer is rarely realistic.

Why It's on ADV TRIBE

A highway stop, a moto-camp site, a guesthouse with no freezer: Monkey Ice is built for the moments where refrigeration is not an option. The kit packs down small enough to travel with the rest of your riding gear.

Aerosol-activated. No refrigeration. No power source needed.

PRODUCT GUIDE

HOW TO USE MONKEY ICE

Monkey Ice is a portable, aerosol-activated cold application system used with the supplied application pad and compression wrap. Lightly wet the pad with water, apply the spray to the pad and secure it over the required area using the wrap. Never spray directly onto skin.

  1. Prepare the kit

Remove the Monkey Ice spray, application pad and compression wrap from the carry pouch.

  2. Wet the pad

Moisten the supplied application pad with clean water. Squeeze out excess water if the pad is over-wetted.

  3. Activate the pad

The pad does not need to be placed on a surface. Hold up the wet pad and hold the Monkey Ice Spray can vertically, with the nozzle approximately one inch from the pad. Press the spray at full pressure and move slowly across the pad to provide maximum exposure, using a horizontal spraying pattern for best results.

Check that the pad is rock hard. If it is not rock hard, spray again. Do not spray directly onto skin, the face or eyes.

  4. Apply the wrap

Position the activated pad over the required area on intact skin and secure it using the compression wrap. The wrap should be firm but should not restrict circulation.

  5. Limit the session

Each icing cycle lasts approximately 5 to 7 minutes. A sharp temperature drop during the first approximately 2 minutes is normal. Stop use if the application becomes excessively uncomfortable or causes an unexpected skin reaction.

  6. Dry and store

Allow the pad and wrap to dry completely after use. Store the aerosol in a well-ventilated place, protected from sunlight and away from heat, sparks, flames and hot surfaces.

AEROSOL HANDLING & SAFETY

Extremely flammable aerosol. UN1950, Class 2.1. Contains gas under pressure and may explode if heated. Use only in a well-ventilated area. Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames and other ignition sources. No smoking. Protect from sunlight and do not expose the container to temperatures exceeding 50C / 122F. Do not puncture, burn or spray directly onto skin, the face or eyes. Keep out of reach of children. Apply only to the supplied pad and follow the instructions printed on the product label. If accidental direct contact with the spray occurs, stop use and follow the first-aid instructions on the product label or safety documentation.
