Rider FAQ
What kind of bike do I need?
Any reliable 150cc+ motorcycle. This is not a technical off-road trail, just a short gravel access path to the campsite. If your bike starts reliably and you can ride it comfortably for 3 to 4 hours, you are good to go. We have had Meteors, Xpulses, Hondas, and big ADV bikes all on this route.
Is camping experience required?
None at all. We walk you through tent setup, camp cooking, and leave-no-trace principles from scratch if needed. The whole point of a DIY camping ride is that you learn by doing, with us alongside.
What is included in the price?
Your registration covers: Lunch on Day 1 (fixed buffet, Lonavala), Tea and Snacks at the campsite (5:00 PM), BBQ campfire evening, Dinner on Day 1 (veg and non-veg buffet), Coffee brewing session on Day 2 morning, Morning Tea and Breakfast on Day 2, campsite spot access, and bathroom facilities. Fuel, personal gear, sleeping bag, and any meals not listed are not included.
What if I do not have a tent?
Choose the Solo Rider + Tent or Rider + Pillion + Tent option at checkout. A tent will be arranged and ready at camp. You only need to bring a sleeping bag.
Can I bring a pillion?
Yes, as long as your motorcycle can comfortably handle the ghats with two people. Make sure to select the Rider + Pillion package at checkout. Note: Full riding gear (helmet, jacket, gloves, boots) is mandatory for both the rider and the pillion.
What exactly do I need to pack?
Full riding gear (helmet, jacket, gloves, boots) is mandatory. Pack a sleeping bag, basic toiletries, any personal medication, an LED headlight or headlamp, mosquito and bug repellent, a personal coffee mug, a small tripod (for night photography), and a puncture repair kit.
Is there mobile network at the campsite?
Coverage is very spotty in the Sahyadris. Expect minimal to zero network once we enter the forest zone. Inform your family beforehand that you will be off the grid.
What happens if my motorcycle breaks down?
You are strictly responsible for your own towing and spare parts. However, our sweep rider will be there to assist you with basic troubleshooting and puncture repairs to get you moving if possible.
Is alcohol allowed?
We maintain a strict zero-tolerance policy for alcohol and illegal substances during the ride and at the campsite. This is to ensure the safety and comfort of the entire convoy.
What is the cancellation policy?
All bookings are final. We have a strict no-refund policy for any cancellations requested after April 15th, as the logistics, food, and campsite arrangements are locked in advance.
