Andharban Overnight Moto-Camping Ride — 18–19 April 2026 | ADV TRIBE
ADV TRIBE · April 18–19, 2026 · Maharashtra
Sleep Under Andharban
An overnight motorcycle ride into the dark forest,
where the only light comes from above.
The ride
Some roads are meant to be ridden in the dark. Andharban, literally Dark Forest, sits deep in the Sahyadris, far enough from the city that when you kill the engine and look up, the Milky Way shows up uninvited.
This is a two-day overnight camping ride for riders who want more than a day trip. We leave Mumbai at around 9:30 am, twist through the ghats to Lonavala, then drop deep into the forest to set up camp before nightfall. Sleep to the sound of the jungle. Wake up to mist on your tent and chai on the fire.
Mumbai → NMMC Belapur → Monteria Village → Lonavala → Andharban → Karnala → Mumbai
What to expect
Zero light pollution in the Sahyadri range. Milky Way, open skies, complete silence.
Set up your own tent in the wild. We guide you. You do it and own every bit of it.
Tight corners, misty valleys, and sweeping views through the Western Ghats.
Dinner, fire, and riders who chose the same kind of weekend as you.
Day-by-day itinerary
Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation Head Office, CBD Belapur. Quick ride briefing, then we roll.
Monteria Village, Khalapur. Included in package, veg & non-veg options. Fuel stop here before the ghats.
Through the iconic Bhor Ghat, cresting into Lonavala. Tight corners, misty valleys, sweeping views. A fuel and water top-up before the descent into Andharban.
Into the dark forest. We walk you through tent setup, camp layout, and leave-no-trace basics. High Tea & snacks at camp.
No streetlights. No notifications. Milky Way on a clear night, campfire, and good company. Dinner served at camp.
Both included. Mist on the forest floor. Pack down camp, leave it cleaner than you found it.
Pass through Karnala on the return leg. The fortress silhouette on the hill is worth a quick stop if you're up for it.
Round trip complete. NMMC Belapur to Mumbai via the Sahyadris. Bikes parked, stories ready.

This is DIY camping. Here's why that matters.
We don't believe in handing you a ready-made experience. This ride is your introduction to motorcycle camping in Maharashtra done the right way. We'll walk you through packing your bike, picking your gear, setting up camp, cooking on the trail, and leaving no trace.
By the time you ride home, you'll know exactly how to do it again, on your own, anywhere.
Who this is for
Any rider with a sense of adventure and a willingness to get their hands dirty. You don't need fancy gear or an adventure bike. Just bring a reliable machine, a sleeping bag, and the urge to wake up somewhere that isn't your bedroom.
What riders say
First time camping from my bike. Set up the tent myself, woke up to mist on the forest floor. Will do this again.
The stargazing alone was worth the drive. Milky Way was insane. The campfire crew made it unforgettable.
Didn't know how to pitch a tent. Left knowing exactly how. That's the whole point and ADV TRIBE nails it.
Rode up on a Meteor 350, was worried it'd feel underpowered. Perfect for this route. No drama, pure riding.
Things to carry
Pack light, pack smart. Everything you need for a comfortable overnight on two wheels.

Is camping experience required?
None at all. We walk you through tent setup, camp cooking, and leave-no-trace principles, from scratch if needed. The whole point of a DIY camping ride is that you learn by doing, with us alongside.
