The rear brake master cylinder sits exposed on the right side of the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, in the direct path of trail debris, rocks, and vegetation. A single impact can damage the cylinder body, crack the reservoir, or compromise the brake fluid line. The ADV TRIBE Rear Brake Master Cylinder Guard is a 2mm 304 stainless steel guard, powder-coated black, that bolts directly over the master cylinder using factory mounting points. No drilling. No frame modification. Full brake fluid reservoir access retained after fitting.
At trail riding speeds, a rock or branch can strike the cylinder body or the brake fluid line connector, causing hydraulic pressure loss before you reach the next checkpoint. Practical protection for a critical component. 20 minutes to fit. Made in India.

What does the Rear Brake Master Cylinder Guard protect against?
The guard covers the rear brake master cylinder, which is the hydraulic pump for the rear braking system. On trail riding, rocks, branches, and debris can strike this component directly. Damage to the cylinder body, reservoir, or hydraulic line can cause brake fluid loss and brake failure. The Rear Brake Master Cylinder Guard prevents direct impact to this area.
Does the Rear Brake Master Cylinder Guard block access to the brake fluid reservoir?
No. The guard is designed to shield the master cylinder without blocking access to the reservoir cap for fluid checks and top-ups.
Do I need to drill to fit the Rear Brake Master Cylinder Guard?
No drilling required. The guard uses the factory brake master cylinder mounting points for fitment.
How long does it take to fit the rear brake master cylinder guard?
Approximately 20 minutes. The guard uses the factory brake master cylinder mounting points on the Himalayan 450. No drilling required. All hardware included.
Is this guard compatible with all Himalayan 450 variants?
Yes. The ADV TRIBE Rear Brake Master Cylinder Guard is compatible with all Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 variants from 2024 onwards. It is not compatible with the Himalayan 411 because the brake system layout is different.

Andharban Overnight Camping Ride, Apr 2026
One of the best nights I have had on a ride. The trail, the campfire, the people. Total ADV.
Did not expect a DIY ride to be this well organised. Everything from route briefing to campsite was sorted. Will be back.
