The Royal Enfield Interceptor 650's parallel-twin engine sits low in the frame, making the sump and engine cases vulnerable to impact on broken road surfaces, speed bumps, and the occasional off-tarmac shortcut. Replacing a cracked engine case or oil sump is a significant bill and a tour-ending breakdown. The ADV TRIBE Sump Guard puts hybrid aluminium and mild steel construction between your engine and whatever the road throws up.
Hybrid construction with a 6061 T6 aluminium main bash plate and mild steel mounting brackets for structural support. Bolt-on fitment to the existing frame mounting points. No drilling. The guard covers the underside of the engine and the sump, helping protect against impact and abrasion without modifying the bike.

The Interceptor 650 is not marketed as an off-road bike, but India's roads make the distinction academic. Mountain highways in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand are full of sharp drop-offs, rock falls, and unmarked speed breakers. Highway construction zones nationwide produce debris. Even urban commuters hit speed bumps at angles that can scrape the engine underside on a laden bike.
Will I still be able to access the oil drain plug with the sump guard fitted?
Yes. The ADV TRIBE sump guard is designed with service access in mind. The oil drain plug is accessible for standard service intervals without removing the guard.
Is this mild steel or aluminium?
This is a hybrid construction sump guard: the main bash plate is 4mm 6061 T6 aluminium, while the mounting brackets are 3mm mild steel for structural support.
Does the sump guard fit the Continental GT 650?
Compatible with Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650.

What is the bash plate made from?
The main bash plate is 4 mm 6061 aluminium, laser cut. The mounting brackets are 3 mm laser-cut mild steel. The finish is powder-coated black.
Why are the plate and the brackets different materials?
They are different components. The main protection plate is aluminium, which keeps weight down. The mounting brackets are mild steel, which carries the plate on the chassis.
How does it mount to the motorcycle?
On three brackets. The left and right bottom brackets fit to the chassis and are secured with the supplied M10 lock nuts. The front bracket fits at the bottom engine-mount area and is secured with the M10 nut and washer supplied for that connection. The bash plate then attaches to the front bracket using a spacer with the supplied M10 bolt and washer, and to the bottom brackets using the supplied bolts and washers.
Are the left and right bottom brackets the same?
No. The left bracket has two mounting holes and the right bracket has one, so they are not interchangeable.
How long does installation take?
Approximately 30 minutes.
Does installation require drilling?
No. It mounts to existing chassis and bottom engine-mount points.
Can I change the engine oil with the guard fitted?
Yes. The oil drain plug is accessible for standard service intervals without removing the guard.
